Here's another drum interpretation of yet another track from volume #6 of Turn it up and lay it down CD series.

I love this play along idea and am really getting alot out of it.

For this track, I changed things up with the configuration of the Pro Birch Hybrid.
I am playing it as a 4 pc, with the 10 and 14" toms. I also swapped the heads on these toms to Evans EC2s.
I also changed up the cymbal set up and inverted the booms so that all the cymbal are hanging instead of resting
on the cups. There are a few mistakes in the video, but I think you get the point. So far, the Evans are the heads of choice for me with this kit. I love having the versatility of a 6 pc.! I think I will be keeping this set up for awhile!
Let me know what you think. Critique it. I can take it.

Nice work again. I saw this on the tube as well. Good improvisation.

Great job again, Pearly. You've got a great groove. You know what I think would be cool? If a bunch of us on this forum took the same track from one of the Turn it Up Lay it Down series and posted them to see all the different interpretations. I need to get volume 6. I like all the funky horn stuff on it. I like seeing all the different configurations everyone is using. By the way, how are you mounting your camera so high like that? I like the angle you're using, but my tripod only goes to like 5 ft.
