I thought this would be the best place to find someone who might have tried this pedal. If you have I'd like to hear your opinions please.

If it's anything like the single pedal.. and I can only assume it is.... it's very adjustable and a smooth performer.

Yeah. I have only had experience with the single as well. The single was very smooth & adjustable for an inexpensive pedal I thought. I'm sure that the double has the same properties. After the single, I went with a Vex double, mainly because I was unaware that CC sold a double at that time. The mechanics look very similar. Welcome back 05WideGuy. Long time no chat, eh?

I don't know of anyone in this forum that is using a double CC pedal. I use the single, double chain drive pedal, and I like it. That said, and as much as I love CC drums, I'm not sure I would opt for CC DP802 at $149 if I were in the market for a double pedal. I would probably first consider the Vex Pro Touring for $108 delivered, or possibly the Gibraltar 6611DB for $169 delivered (both on Amazon).

Good luck on your search, and let us know what you decide!

Thanks for the replies Y'all, I think I'll wait for that new Mapex Raptor to come out and get some opinions on it.

Good choice there Joel.. While I don't think the CC DP-802 would be bad.. My vote would be for the Raptor..or Falcon as well.

No doubt the Raptor is one slick looking piece of hardware, but it's also $120 more than the CC pedal you're asking about. If your budget is up in mid-high $200's, then there are a number of good choices available to you from Pearl (PowerShifter Eliminator) to the Gibraltar (Intruder). But if staying below $200 is important, I still think the Gibraltar Avenger II is a solid choice, or maybe even the DW 3000. Plus, you'll recoup more money if\when you go to resell these, as opposed to the CC pedal.

Do you have a budget? I assumed it was $150ish, because you were considering the CC double pedal. Since your swinging from a relatively unknown and somewhat generic CC pedal to the much hyped and somewhat cutting-edge Mapex Raptor, I can only conclude that you haven't yet set a budget and\or that you haven't narrowed your search criteria.

The Raptor is as high as I'm willing to go. If I could get a good pedal at a cheaper price, all the better. Mapex also has a P710TW coming out that looks like it might be a nice pedal. I need pedals, a cymbal boom stand and a Sabian AA med thin crash; so I'm trying to stretch my money I guess.

The Vex Pro Touring Double Pedal is a very capable pedal that I had before I gave them to my brother in law when I got my DW8002 long board pedals. These pedals are a good low cost pedal with plenty of adjustability. Here is the E-Bay store that has been up for a long time. Read the feedback, they are good pedals for the money.

I believe the Custom Classic DP-800 to be as good or maybe a tad better.. It's probably much the same pedal with a few mods.

Yeah, they look to be the same design wise. But with a $42.00 difference. But I like the wooden beaters on the CC pedals, though.
